Beyonce | Hollywood Wonder Woman We Love You So Much Beyonce

Contemporary, R&B, Dance-Pop Funk and Soul

Amongst rumours of genetical engineering to create a Wonder Woman, Beyonce Knowles was born  in 1981 in Huston Texas.  Her natural obvious talent as a young child and the support, direction and encouragement of her parents (her father a record producer, her mother a costume designer, stylist)  had much to do with her startling career which began at the age of seven when she won her first talent  show to standing ovations singing John Lennon's 'Imagine'.

In 1993 the group 'Destinies Child' evolved and went on to become the world's best selling female band  ever. In June 2003, Beyonce released her first solo album 'Dangerously in Love' for which she received five Grammy nominations. The album sold more than four million copies, sealing her destiny as a solo artist.  In 2005, Destiny's Child split and Beyonce went on to release her second Album 'B'day' to coincide with her 25th birthday.

UK hit singles include 'Déjà Vu' and 'Beautiful Liar' and the worldwide hit single 'Irreplaceable' which sold more than 541 000 copies in the first week and has been certified three times platinum by the Recording Industries Association of America. Her third solo album entitled 'I Am Sasha Fierce' (one of her names) is rumored to be inspired by her upcoming  film 'Cadillac Records' in which she plays blues singer Etta James and is set to be released on Nov 18th From Perfume to Fashion, Grammies to Hollywood, Beyonce is now bigger than her home town Texas. The 28 year old superstar already has a string of movies including Dream girls (in which she played Dianna Ross and was nominated  for two Golden Globe awards. The film won the 2007 Academy Award), Austin Powers and The Pink Panther. We can only 'wonder ' what's next - she just might turn fantasy into reality by scoring the lead role in the upcoming Hollywood adaptation of DC Comic's Wonder Woman.
